Takeaway and Food Van Signage
A takeaway is judged in seconds: people need to see what you cook from the road, read the menu while they wait and remember you next time they order. For food vans and street food stalls the signs travel with you, so they need to pack down and go back up quickly.

We recently used Liberty Signs after having new cladding to our business premises. We were very impressed with the service, from the initial contact to the final installation. The team was efficient, professional, and helpful throughout the process, making everything straightforward from start to finish. The quality of the signage was excellent, delivered on time, and exactly what we wanted. We'd happily recommend them to anyone looking for great service and high-quality signage.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Liberty Signs to anyone looking for reliable, professional signage services. Fantastic experience all round.
Amazing work, never had a bad experience with these guys.
Will at Liberty signs have wrapped all of our vehicles over the past 7 years or so and each time I’m blown away with the quality. The team work to tight turnaround times and always deliver. Nothing is ever to much even when I’ve had adjustments made to the sign wrapping further down the line. I would 100% reccomend Liberty signs.

Common questions
What is the best material for a takeaway menu board?
For a menu above the counter, a printed Foamex sign is light, low cost and easy to replace when the menu changes. For a more finished look, or a menu that goes outside, a printed aluminium sign is rigid and made to stand up to the weather. Both are cut to your size, up to 1.5m by 3.05m; our sign materials guide compares them.
How much does a printed menu board cost?
A 1200 × 600mm board starts from £48.50 in Foamex or £60.00 in aluminium, including VAT. Set your own size on the product page and the price updates as you go.
Do you make signs for food vans and street food stalls?
Yes. Van lettering, printed graphics and magnetic signs are quoted per vehicle on our vehicle signage page. For a stall or gazebo, a PVC banner comes hemmed with eyelets so it ties straight on, and an A-board folds flat to travel between pitches.
Should a takeaway have a lit sign?
If you trade into the evening, light helps people find you. A projecting lightbox is lit and double-sided, and our illuminated signs guide covers the options. Illuminated signs usually need advertisement consent, so read our planning permission guide as well.
How quickly can I get a takeaway sign?
Printed flat signs take 3 working days to make once you approve the proof, then standard delivery takes 3 to 5 working days. Lit signs take longer to make and may need consent first; our lead times guide has the details.
