1. About these terms
These terms apply to all orders placed through libertysigns.co.uk, operated by Liberty Signs Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 12476901; registered office: Cuffley Place, Office 205, Sopers Road, Cuffley, United Kingdom, EN6 4SG). Our trading address is Unit 8, Mosley Rd, Trafford Park, Manchester M17 1HQ. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect when you place your order applies to that order.
2. Placing an order
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase goods. We will send an order confirmation email, but a binding contract is formed only when we confirm your order has entered production.
We reserve the right to decline any order, for example if a product is unavailable, if we identify a pricing error, or if we are unable to produce the item to specification.
3. Pricing
All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT at 20% unless stated otherwise. Delivery charges are shown at checkout before payment.
Prices are generated by our online calculator based on the options you select. If we discover a pricing error after you order, we will contact you before proceeding, and you can confirm the corrected price or cancel for a full refund.
4. Payment
Full payment is required at the time of ordering. We accept major debit and credit cards through Stripe. Your card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never stored on our servers. Payment must be confirmed before production begins.
5. Artwork and design
You are responsible for providing artwork suitable for production. We recommend vector format (AI, EPS, SVG, or high-resolution PDF) at the correct dimensions. Low-resolution images may affect print quality and we cannot be held responsible for the result.
For most orders we provide a digital proof for approval. Check it carefully for spelling, sizing, colours, and layout. Once you approve the proof, we are not liable for errors that were visible on it.
Design work is quoted separately. Any design we produce remains our intellectual property until full payment is received, at which point a licence to use it for its intended purpose is granted.
6. Colour accuracy
We use professional-grade printers and materials, but exact colour matching is not always possible. Screen colours may differ from the printed product, and Pantone or RAL matches are produced as closely as possible but slight variation is inherent. If precise colour matching is critical, contact us before ordering. Minor variation is not grounds for a refund.
7. Production times
Standard production is 3 to 5 working days from approved artwork and payment. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays.
Production times are estimates, not guarantees. Complex or large orders may need additional time, and we are not liable for losses caused by late delivery. For a faster turnaround, contact us before ordering.
8. Delivery
We deliver across the UK mainland using DPD, typically 1 to 2 working days after dispatch. You will receive a tracking number by email once your order has been dispatched.
Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, and other remote areas may incur additional charges and longer delivery times.
Risk of damage or loss passes to you upon delivery. If your parcel arrives damaged, it helps us resolve the issue quickly if you take photographs and tell us within 48 hours, but this is a request, not a deadline, and does not affect your statutory rights or the time you have to make a claim under section 9.
9. Returns and refunds
Because our products are custom-made to your specification, they are exempt from the 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (Regulation 28(1)(b)). This means we cannot offer refunds simply because you have changed your mind.
By approving your proof and asking us to begin production, you expressly request that we start making your custom goods before the end of any cancellation period, and you accept that you lose the right to cancel once production has begun. This exemption applies to change-of-mind cancellations only. It does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described.
We will offer a full replacement or refund if:
- The product arrives damaged or defective.
- The product does not match the approved proof (wrong size, material, or content).
- We made an error during production.
To make a claim, email info@libertysigns.co.uk within 14 days of receiving your order, including photographs and your order number. Refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe, typically within 5 to 10 working days.
10. Cancellations
You may cancel for a full refund at any point before production begins; we will return the refund to your original payment method within 14 days. Once production has started, cancellation is at our discretion and may incur a charge to cover materials and labour already used. To cancel, contact info@libertysigns.co.uk or call 0161 399 0695.
11. Intellectual property
You confirm that any artwork, logos, or images you provide are owned by you or that you have the rights to reproduce them, and that they do not infringe any third-party rights. You agree to indemnify Liberty Signs Ltd against any claims arising from infringement in artwork you supply.
All content on this website (text, images, designs, and code) is the property of Liberty Signs Ltd and may not be reproduced without our written permission.
12. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Subject to the above, our total liability for any order shall not exceed the price you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control (force majeure).
13. Product warranties
We use high-quality materials and processes. Many products carry a durability expectation based on the material used (for example, exterior vinyl signage is typically rated for 5 to 7 years). Warranties do not cover damage from improper installation, misuse, vandalism, extreme weather, or normal wear and tear. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
14. Website use
We make every effort to keep the website accurate and available, but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend or withdraw the website at any time for maintenance.
15. Privacy
We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read and understood how we handle your data.
16. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, please contact us first at info@libertysigns.co.uk or on 0161 399 0695. We aim to acknowledge complaints within two working days and to resolve them as quickly as we can. If we are unable to resolve your complaint, you remain free to pursue the matter through the courts of England and Wales.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of their courts. If you are a consumer and we cannot resolve a complaint between us, you remain free to pursue the matter through those courts; your statutory rights are unaffected.
18. Severability
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply in full.
