This page explains how libertysigns.co.uk uses cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) to make the site work, remember your preferences, and measure the shopping journey and campaign performance when you choose to allow analytics and advertising measurement.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to the site owner. Local storage works similarly but holds larger amounts of data and is not sent to the server with every request.
Essential cookies
These are required for the site to function. Without them, core features like logging in and checking out would not work. You cannot opt out of essential cookies.
- sb-*-auth-token: Supabase authentication session, keeps you logged in (persistent, expires after up to 400 days).
- sb-*-auth-token-code-verifier: PKCE code verifier for secure authentication (session).
- __stripe_mid / __stripe_sid: set by Stripe during checkout for fraud prevention and payment processing (1 year / 30 minutes).
Functional storage (local storage)
We use your browser's local storage to save preferences and cart information needed for the storefront.
- liberty-signs-cart: stores the contents of your shopping cart so it persists between page loads and sessions.
- liberty-recently-viewed: tracks recently viewed products for easy access.
- liberty_cookie_consent: remembers your cookie choices so we do not ask on every visit.
Optional analytics and advertising measurement
If you choose “Accept analytics”, we use first-party local storage, Google Tag Manager, and related measurement tags to understand how visitors move through products, carts, checkout, and ad campaigns. This helps us find broken or confusing steps and understand which campaigns lead to enquiries or orders. Measurement storage is off unless you choose to allow it.
- liberty_funnel_session: an anonymous session identifier used to group product, cart, and checkout events.
- Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics / Google Ads: may use cookies or similar browser storage for analytics and advertising measurement when you accept optional measurement storage.
- Klaviyo (__kla_id): an identifier set by Klaviyo, our email and marketing analytics platform, to recognise your browser for newsletter sign-up forms and marketing measurement. Only set when you accept optional measurement storage.
Third-party cookies
Third-party cookies are limited to services needed for checkout and optional measurement that you consent to.
- Stripe: the checkout cookies described above, set for fraud prevention and payment processing.
- Google: analytics and advertising measurement cookies, only when you accept optional measurement storage.
- Klaviyo: email and marketing analytics storage (such as the __kla_id identifier described above), only when you accept optional measurement storage.
Managing and deleting cookies
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using here or in the footer of every page. If you withdraw consent, optional analytics and advertising measurement stops straight away and we remove the measurement cookies we can reach from your browser.
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings: viewing and deleting them individually, blocking third-party or all cookies, or clearing them when you close your browser. To clear local storage, use your browser's developer tools or clear your browsing data. Clearing your browsing data also resets your acknowledgement of our cookie notice, so the notice will appear again on your next visit.
Please note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and completing purchases. Browser instructions: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
